All-New: Type 81M

I know what you mean, but my getting worked up about a $1k rifle not meeting desired QC is a waste of my time at this point in my life.

I’ve got 26 acres, 5 kids, a lovey wife, a career, a successful family business, and lots of things that bring me joy.

I’ve not the time or bother to worry about the rifle.

It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it.

fine , you can buy mine at higher price, and damaged. Sorry we are not all that well off.. and can.nt afford to get second rate junk at first rate price..

Great accept second quality product, don,nt value your time and $$$..

It is the old Norinco discussion. I have owned and still own many Norinco products. Everybody was bashing the M14 for years to come, even when it was only $400 - a semi automatic rifle in 308. I never really liked the pistols, a few of them need a lot of work to function. But the 22 from Marstar caught my eye, $200 bucks for those who pulled the trigger, excellent product.

Yeah I get that.

I hope yours are all nice. They could be.

You’ll be disappointed if you expect flawless, but if you temper your expectations you could be pleasantly surprised.

I’ve said before the LMG’s are the finest ones I’ve seen. These are based on the LMG, so it stands to reason that your six could all be keepers.

I did the math and 55% of my guns are Norinco

Butt pad anybody for the softies? Still a bit crude, took me 10 minutes with the ali butt pad I had.

I'd say pick up a laser pointer at the dollar store on your way home from work if you can, shine it through the barrel and see how well it is centered against rear trunnion? Just a thought

Exactly was planning this from start. If its a real big problem? Hope TI has extra????

Can you provide a simple method to check if it is bent or not?

Sure you need a very long straight edge, put it along the lower receiver all the way to the barrel measure on the left side then on the right side what is the distance to the barrel. then compare the two.

Well now you all got me worried. How can they replace a bent t81m if they're all sold out? I haven't received my order yet so feel like I'll be SOL if there's an issue. Whether it works or not, I'm not accepting a bent POS, even "within spec".

Holy crap you guys gotta lay off the booze before posting on here. Bunch of boomers arguing over nothing. Keep it on topic.

I'll be getting my T81 on Monday. I'll report back if it's straight/damaged and if it's good to go I'll be taking it out right after to run it a bit.
