All original Long Branch - price check

The widow is anti-gun. She gets no sympathy from me. She's an adult, she can get it appraised independtly if she's got any concern about the gun's value. If it's a nice gun then I'd offer $200 with a clear conscience.

If they are expecting an appraisal along with an offer, then that would be different.
 
I spent a bit of time in the days of # 4's and was wounded to boot. I can assure you NOBODY carried a rfle through Holland ,or anywhere else and the brought it back to Canada. It was impossible to board a ship with an issue weapon of any sort. A captuered weapon, and the Provost would look the other way.It does make for a good story at the Legion though.Duker
