And just to avoid that kind of regretful situation. I have jumped on every Garand i've been able to afford at that given moment. I have done very well except for once. I had a giant turd of a rifle show up and i had to part it out to make my money back. The last one i got was from CANAM and i was more than happy when i took it apart. Lots of original parts or at least correct for the serial range. Not a spec of rust on the whole thing. The bad thing about SAs is they are easy to fake an original, mostly because of the huge pool of parts out there. I bought an IHC last year that was all correct except for 3 parts in the trigger group. Now thats a rifle that is difficult to fake as original. I wouldn't say that ALL the rifles up for sale lately are just the crappy ones, cuz i've bought alot of them from CGN. 9 rifles and 1 bad one out of all of them.
