Took a while but here she is for your viewing pleasure! Sorry for a few blurry pictures. If you'd like more/larger images, send me a PM with your email address.

Sights

Stock Metal & Barrel

Bolt

Trigger Group

A few images showing things like the lower band pin and stock markings are missing but to the best of my knowledge, this is a 100% correct, all marked, PB Garand. If someone disagrees, please send me a PM. Information on post war Breda/Beretta Garands is scarce and I'd love to learn more.

I am currently looking to complete a few others so check out my listings on EE.

I have mix feelings about shooting it so I haven't taken her out yet. She might become a safe queen.

One thing I did notice is that the hammer goes back more smoothly then the WWII dated Springfields that I have. I am unsure if this is just because of the particular trigger group or if the parts were actually better fitted. What I mean by this . . . when I pull back the hammer on my Springfields, it gets "stuck" right before catching in the sear. The PB is tight but it doesn't seem to snag at all before catching. This could very well be a "one of". I don't have enough PB trigger groups to make a real observation. If I get the chance, I'll take caliper measurements.

Hi Don,

I don't know much about these PB Garands but can appreciate the work you're doing to make an all correct example. Thanks for sharing!

I'd shoot it. It's in good condition, still has a Danish stock and not the correct SILE walnut, not really worth more then any other Itallian/Dane in good condition.

Looks great! Thanks for posting!
Wish I had one like that!!
:p

You should add a picture of the Number on the stock too!

A winchester version will look the same from the outside. Springfiled aperture is flatter on the face and would be a dead giveaway if going for full on PB.
