was going throught the gun cabinet tonight, found an old 22, lakefield mossberg bolt action with a 10 round clip, is it any good and how would it be worth, actually not in bad shape.

My first rifle. Accurate enough, brutal trigger. I gave mine away to a dad that made the effort to get his firearms license.

The gun is still in production, but the Lakefield plant is now owned by Savage. SIR mailorder out of Winnipeg sells them for around $180 new.

I paid $95 for one from P&D in very good shape a few years ago. Such good shape my son thought it was new.

Bought mine for 85.00 from a hardware store in Bonnyville Alberta 25 years ago. Grandpa would throw me in the back of his dodge and drive the neighbouring farm roads and i would plug the gophers as i sit in the box of the truck. Ahhhh good times gone by.

I took 2nd place at the Alberta Metallic Silhouette Championships with one............I retired that rifle after its 17,000th round.
