has anybody ever done a Glock challenge. Glock against a 1911.

I'll take that bet at my local range if anybody is watching. Ill buy ya 1000 rounds of your ammo if yours can beat mine. Steady shooting no breaks. No fixes, just shoot tell failure.

I use the glock 22 rtf2 i got comming.

Any interest. If local, then we will record it as i have a youtube channel.

Interesting. Maybe I'll do my own test run at Christmas break, with a Glock 17 and a Norinco 1911, with factory loads. Both have less than 500rds through them, now.

we have professionals here that i can hire to do it, plus we have the best range in Alberta. Ill do it, ill pay for the video, just need someone thats a 1911 guy to take me on.

Could make it a real challenge and put them both up against a beretta
But I really dont understand what this would prove? An ipsc match to prove which is best? How would that work?

1000 rds is no test for a glock
The other year I shot and ipsc match then the IDPA prov then did a 2 day earl green pistol and carbine course. The EG course was shot in what can only be described as a huracain.
Not one jam or FTF. No clean or lube in 4 weeks of heavy use.

And what are you trying to "prove" with you challenge? That a Glock is better than a 1911? That your Glock is better than the other guy's choice of 1911? What do you plan to accomplish with this videoed challenge? Do you think every one will bow down and go buy a Glock if you happen to "win"?

It would be a fun test, but with a sample size of one unit each it will not be very comprehensive or representative of the models in general. Still, I would like to see the results of such a test.

The onus is on Glock to prove itself.
1911's have a proven track record with over 100 years in the battle field, in 2 world wars, Korea, Viet Nam, and to a lesser extent, any other war to date.

I'm a 1911 guy but it's going to be tough to beat the Glock in a long term function test. My Older Wilson CQB has proven itself as 100% reliable but the longest I've gone between cleaning was close to 1500 rounds. I hope you find someone in Ft. Mac that's up to the challenge. It would make for a great video!

I'd rather see glock vs m&p both guns go till one fails.

But you'd probably need a lot of ammo!

I think I have 5k through each of mine (glock and m&p) and no fails yet
