All Weather 30-06

Hey all,

Looking for a all weather deer rifle in 30-06, needs to be pump or semi. I want it for the rainy, snowy damp days dogging in the thick swamps, always worred about the bluing. I want something that I don't have to worry about intill I get back for then night, give it a wipe and have it ready, rust free for the next day. What do you think fits this bill?

send the barreled action away to be teflon coated or nickel plated.

Go with the nickel plating if you can find someone to do it...and when you do post who did it.

Personally

neither a pump or a semi fit the bill. Bolt action or single shot only in my opinion. That is just my opinion.

I thought of nickel plating my 7600 and 7400, but do not want it to be shinny.

Nickel plating doesnt have to be shiny...I have seen matte finished nickel plating, I think it might be bead blasted after being applied.

WholeSale Sports still lists the Weathermaster 7600 pump in their specials section for $619. It's matte nickel plated with synthetic stocks. nice gun. and the 7400 Weathermaster semi for $649
