Alliant's .410

I have been using it exclusively since i started loading 410 so I have nothing to compare it to. Burns fairly clean and has given consistent velocity so no complaints at all. Only need about 10 grains per shell to get 1150 fps on a 1/2 oz load so I'm not sure how that compares to the other powders.

Good powder, I load 11.5 grains for approx 1200 fps, pressure under 11000 psi which I like to keep under when shootin in my Briley tubes.

Alliant web-site shows 12 grains with a win209 primer, win AAHS hull,
win WAA41HS wad, 1,200 fps & 10,570 psi

Works real well in the loader for me, doesn't bung up the charge bar.

Assuming 1200 FPS WW HS 21/2" Hull and WW410HS wad, 1/2 oz shot ww 209 primer:
Lil Gun 13,5 gr. 11700 psi
296 15.3 gr 8900 psi
410 12.0 gr 10570 psi

.410 will load the most per pound now all you have to do is factor in the price per pound as they may differ. All data copied from man. websites check data before loading. 296 seems to way easier on your gun than the others pressure wise but can be a pain to load due to being so fine, but there are ways to fix that. Best of luck.
