Hi Guys

I have an old CZ-75 (pre-B) that I find that I am not using that much anymore. However the trigger and accuracy is still excellent, and I have been thinking of turning it into a production gun that I can use in serious competition when I want a change from shooting USP's.

Specifically, can I add:

- Fiber optic front sight such as this one from http://www.ghostholster.com/cz_home.htm

- Adjustable sights?

Thanks. I realise that the gun is great as is, but really fiber optics are the way to go if they are allowed. I have found them excellent on the Tanfoglio's.

Appendix D, IPSC Rule Book, Production Division

Special Conditions.

19) Original Parts and components offered by the OFM as standard equipment, or as an option, for a specific model on the IPSC approved handgun list are permitted subject to the following:

So, as I read this I believe the FO sight offered by CZ-USA (and sold by Angus) would be legal on a CZ75. Now, if they try to say the Pre B is different that the existing CZ75, well then you may be shooting in open class.

The whole FO front sight discusson didnt get resolved at the AGM at the worlds, so if you want a final opinion I would suggest you check with Vince Pinto on the IPSC Forums.

If I recall the Pre B CZ75 doesnt use a rollpin to mount the front sight so I dont think the existing part could be used without extensive modifications to your slide, which would pretty much not be allowed as rule 20.2 states that no alterations to the gun are allowed when changing sights.

Thanks guys. That is too bad. I doubt that the Pre-B v B debate has occurred before since most people would be using 75B's or CZ85's.

I was also wondering if there was a CZ-75 that came with the fibre optics, but it does not seem to be the case.

Thanks for the replies though. :)
