mossberg 500 on my bag while Im hunting bear with my compound bow (mines a special purpose, so it certinaly doesnt look like a sporting firearm)
and 12 gage ithica for deer on the farm.
I only ever shoot with friends in the bush (clay pidgons) I just bring both for fun. BUT if I were to go to a range and actually try skeet I would just bring my ithica cause I would perfer to keep the sport tradational, also if or when I go to the skeet range and I like it that gives me another reason to purchase a new shot gun
In all honesty if you just want a shotgun for fun and to shoot claypidgons with a buddys and not get very serious in to the sport a mossberg 500 (field version) or the remington 870 will work just fine and if you decide to get serious you can take it to a smith get a choke installed or buy a new barrel
good luck!
