Almost done my entire Bubba Mosin! Purists need not open this thread!!! (pic heavy)

I think I'm starting to get the hang of this hand loading thing. Here's some targets from last week. 100M

This is actually 5 shots!

Thanks for all the comments fellas! It's been a very rewarding project! I'd recommend anyone who enjoys tinkering with guns play with a Mosin. There's so many available and they are so cheap! it's a great platform to play with without having too much invested yet it's capable of becoming a real prize at the range with cheap ammo or even nice hand loads.

I've had lots of luck accurizing a Mosin in an original stock with a long eye relief scope. Totally reversible and shoots almost as good as this one.

Thanks! I seem to have it dialed in now. I shot these last week at 200 Yds.

When I can settle down and do my part it seems to shoot close to 1/2 MOA.

Necro thread photobucket released my pictures celebration bump!

Although the pics are watermarked now I'm happy there back for display. This is still an excellent shooter and a very fun gun go up against my friends "expensive" rifles at the limited 200M range I have access to around these parts.

Now that Mosins are almost $400 at dealers I'm not sure this thread is even of value to anyone. Back when I did this they were $189!

Have you thought about putting in a timney trigger? My buddy has one on his mosin and it is incredible to feel the difference. Plus the safety is a nice addition as well.

Oh yeah! I got one cheap from one of the CGN dealers going out of bussiness. I can’t remember what their name was....

Truthfully, I wouldn’t buy another one. My own trigger job was just as good! You couldn’t easily adjust its settings like you can the Timney but after I set it up with the same trigger pull to my liking as my own job was, I’ve never adjusted it.

i even prefer the original Mosin trigger with its smoothed edges to the sharp angles on the Timney.
