Almost nothing left in a 9mm Rifle

Yes on both. The spring plunger ejector I found to be a feeble device for clearing cases from the action. Still had to tilt the rifle to starboard a tad
to drop out the fired cases. No biggie to me as I never expected to use the bugger for fast shootin' sessions, just critter poppin' & plinkin'.;)
Looking at adding like a mauser ejector to my mag adapter ( milling it out of course ) and curious what they used for a spring.

Yeah I don't plan on speed shooting mine. I still gotta turn and eject.

We should post all the 9mm rifles that aren't on the list yet... I mean not to make the RCMP's job any easier... there's no chance any of them are on here reading this... right?
There are prolly more ninnies on here that are running to the RCMP every day reporting all their findings for them...to make the job easier to put on the ban list.

don't worry, surely some new 9mm PCC will come out and we will be able to enjoy them for about a year, and then they'll get banned and rinse and repeat.. what a fun time it is having a hubby other than growing flowers in Canada

Oh... Clownada... If only there weren't so many cowardly Canadians that were content with giving our rights and freedoms away. Whats so scary about modern firearms? Does everyone have to use the same old rifles just because Bob the boomer is scared of modern ones? While people like that allow this country to get closer and closer to communism they are on the way out the door and we will suffer the reality.
Remember that we are no cowards but that this shiite is being pushed down our throats by the government. Nothing with being cowardly
or cowgirly. Just a sign of the time in Canada where the woke majority elects government. We get butt invaded with sand in the Vaseline…

I think a lot of the issue here is that manufacturers are gun shy after being burned repeatedly. How much R&D has gone into making Canada-specific options previously, just to have them banned shortly after. And when most States can still have most semi autos, there’s not much of an export market either.

We have no idea what the federal government will do in the next few years, or even what the map of our country will look like. They banned .22LRs last time round so anything is on the table.

Businesses and manufacturers (especially small ones) are “bleeding” and need the space to stabilize a bit.

Absolutely. I'm honestly surprised there are even still gun companies existing in Canada that aren't solely police/military focused, like in Mexico with their one legal gun store in the entire country. (Never mind that most people just buy illegal firearms there if they want something 😆)
Although I guess even Britain and Australia still have gun stores so 🤷

The Homesteader is better than nothing but I dont believe its well-designed looking at the disassembly for maintenance, and the price could be better for what it is. We need more manual actions in 9x19mm utilizing NR OAL limits for something nice and compact
Agreed. The homesteader price is atrocious.

Have a look at post #65 and beyond in this thread. MRA/VRS is considering a 9mm version.

Get on them and encourage them to do it! If enough people voice their interest, it will happen.

Only for the limited Canadian Market? Most places in the "free" world, with the exception being the US where there would be almost no market for this type of firearm (and a Canadian manufacturer would not likely be able to export to the US with tariffs and ITAR. Build them for Canada in Canada equals bankruptcy. Sorry to burst bubbles, this is our reality.

Not the UK and Australia?

9mm MRA wouldnt be hard. 223 bolt head just needs to be opened up a bit. A 9mm barrel, then since they can use AR mags, plenty of adapters that can be used. Save them redesigning the lower. Thus keeping costs down.

Like when I had an AR, I could run 9mm, 223 and 22LR using the same lower.

I recently had a chat with an enthusiast who had done this. Additional to your list is the ejection port needing extending (forward) ~5mm. Reason was that a spent 9mm shell hits the inner receiver edge before clearing, absorbing the extractor spring energy prematurely. Therefore permanent warranty cancelling alteration, unless an alternative hack found. No idea if a port enlargement would negatively impact 223 extraction.

We are already there (communism) have been inching down that road since turd the first was elected back in 1968. The reality of it all
it's too late, way past the tipping point to ever begin changing things at this point, we are done. The country is circling the rim and is a run away freight train, hopeless.
