So I'm chompin at the bit to start 3-gun, excited and nervous. I think I will be starting with CHAS 3-gun league. Skills and drills days start next month and I'm close to ready.

The main things I still need are pistol and AR mag pouches.

Pistol - CZ75b 9mm - 511 belt for now (it was free) - BladeTech Holster - Invictus 12 round shell caddy

Rifle - DPMS A-15 - Sight Mark Ultra Shot M-Spec Reflex (we'll see if I should have took a chance on this) - Dlask A6 Muzzle brake

Shotgun - Rem 870 - +3 mag extension -16 inch barrel threaded for chokes with rifle sights - 4 rd shell holder

I just received my CHAS membership cards in the mail. I'll also be doing the 3Gun matches at CHAS this year.

Looks like you are set-up nicely to get started with 3GUN. Look forward to seeing you at the range. Don't forget to buy your CHAS Range Membership and complete the CHAS orientation, if you are a new member.

Haven't renewed my membership to CHAS yet, but really want to start 3-gun this year, myself.

Any new developments on the CFO's "progress" with approving our changes to the range yet? Or are we still in legal limbo while he continues to #### us around?

I can't imagine the league will have the best of success this year if the range continues to have such limited available space for use :(

right on! i run 3 gun at chas as well. come out for skills and drills and i'm sure you can figure out what works well for you

I'm excited! but haven't been the "new guy" at much for a while. My pistol skills or lack thereof will be my biggest obstacle I think.

Orientation and membership done, should be here any day if not in the mailbox already.

Happy side note - girlfriend just ordered my birthday present - pistol and AR mag pouches!

You are looking awesome for 3 gun. No need to be nervous you are very well equipped. Your holster could use a retention strap, blade tech WRS Level 2 would be perfect. Just sucks if your pistol falls out and you get disqualified... Best case.... Alternatively many guys just tighten those screws and run with a hand on the gun at all times which definitely can work.

Agreed. I use the bladetech, but miss the added comfort of my G-code. I hated the noise, but the pull was comfortable, quick, and the gun could not fall out with the bail (sp?) flipped up.

Make sure it's snug and will not fall out when running. As mentioned, a hand over it is not a bad idea at times.

Changed the screws out in the holster for thumb screws. More activity on a stage = tighter screws. Less movement = looser screws. Not too many guys run retention straps.

Im super pumped to get into some 3-gun this summer too. Black Badge this weekend.

Need to gear up on mag pouches, Some sights for my rifle, and a few other odds and ends. And help/suggestions (aside from "Go to the States") from experienced shooters would be appreciated.

Other than sights or an optic for your rifle, hold off on buying more gear than needed until you go to your first match.

Talk to the guys at the match, see what works for them, and buy once. You can always jam your spare ammo in your pockets.

I really like hsgi pistol taco, AR double taco. I'm just mentioning them so you can keep them in mind if you haven't been looking at them yet. These choices can be affected by belt vs battle belt vs chest rig so... Buy nothing and wear cargo pants to your first few matches is the best idea.

I'd recommend pulling your blade-tech apart and using blue lock-tight on all of the screws including the retention screws and then re-assembling. With it 'lock-tighted', and proper retention set, it will hold a gun while you run without any issues.
