I have watched a few videos on youtube showing the "Alpha Holek Model 231" .22 revolver. Looks like a double action, in a shiny nickel or chrome finish.

Does anyone know where I can find more info on these revolvers. I was told that there were no double action .22 revolvers being produced these days....

thanks

Ruger , Smith & Wesson ,Taurus all make .22 double action revolvers. Anyone saying otherwise was probably trying to sell you a SEMI-automatc pistol or didn't know.

I found a single/double action model 63 on the S&W website, it was the only .22 to be listed as a double action revolver. Thanks for the tip.

Both the Ruger website, and my 2006 catalogue, only show centerfire double action revolvers. No .22's to speak of, as far as I can tell ...currently.

I don't see "double action" mentioned on the website for the 617. How does a guy know that, without asking around on forums like this?

Single action is your six shooters....Colt SAA and the like.

Pretty much every other revolver is your standard DA.

Look at the length of the trigger pull, one has room for cocking the hammer with a DA pull, the other has no room.....hammer has to be cocked by hand for each shot.
