Somebody has to be sitting on a big stash of HP's out there - with the numbers they were produced in, there has to be more around! How about the Norinco made version that's never seen?

Hi-Powers are garbage. All they do is feed everything, feel great in the hand, hit where you are aiming and never jam. Who would want such a boring POS? The only thing worse than a Hi-Power is a Steyr GB.

Most of the Inglis HP's and Belgium HP's were sold off in the late 1960's and 1970's. Then all the governments who owned the balance "saw god" and decided to destroy them......Australia, New Zealand, the UK etc.... Any future military surplus High Powers will be hard to locate and purchase.

The Argies made a bunch, the Chinese are still making them, Hungary made them, FN is still punching them out....where the hell are they at??

I have a 2 tone HP in .40 with Caspian sights, that 40 destroyed the original POS target sights, even the Caspian has sufered recoil damage but at least the front sight hasn't blown off yet. The chrome frame with black slide is classy.

The CF still has sufficient numbers sitting in cosmoline crates.

I have seen it written that the .40 cal version is about the "softest shooting" .40 out there?!? Does anyone care to comment?

Jeff.

I bought mine in 1973...sold it about five years later and bought it back. Still have it. Shot 1000's and 1000's of rounds through it.

You need to keep an eye on the recoil spring.

How do you guys like the .40 version? Furet isn't impressed

I've had a few Ingis and and FN hi-powers over the years... my current hi-power is a MkIII and I think that it is the best hi-power.
