Alternate to case lube

Lubriplate.
Another one is cutting oil - it's usually a mineral oil, so you can shake it up with water (it does mix), leaves a very thin film only, and wipes off real easily. Problem with most lubes is that they have a nasty habit of trying to get everywhere, or is it just me? Lubriplate looks to me to be just like Lee's lube, except theirs is supposed to be water soluble. Lubriplate isn't.

Do not use veg oil spray or PAM. Ask me how I know ;)

Vaseline, synthetic oils, mink oil etc.. all work great.

I use imperial die wax now, one tin lasts for ever.

Imperial sizing die wax is the one I ended up using too, but I used motor oil and a felt insole as a lube pad for many years. The only problems with this are cleaning the case off after resizing etc. and you have to be careful not to get too much lube on the case. The way I went about the motor oil and insole approach seemed to be a bit more prone to screwing up in this way (until I wised up a bit, of course.).

I was going to put my two cents worth in here a while ago, but I see Why Not? has beat me to it.
I have tried a good many case lubes but in my opinion STP automotive oil additive is far and away the best. The hardest part in using it is to get a very small amount of it on the case!

Lanolin works well. There are also lots of other deep draw lubes available commercially.

+1

I don't use anything but 5 parts isopropyl alcohol mixed with 1 part lanolin, which pretty much IS Dillon case lube I guess.

Just put it in a spray bottle after you mix it (I put the lanolin and alcohol in a jam jar, then put the jar in hot but not boiling water for a lil while to heat up and then shake the holy hell out of it) and you have an awesome case lube.
