So I picked up a Magpul MIAD today seeing as how I didn't really like the MOE that I currently had. I tried to install the MIAD as it feels awesome and to my surprise it does not fit on my receiver flush, not even close, the actual grip itself is at an 82 degree angel opposed to a proper 90 that it should be. I'm going to return the grip and look at other options, however I'm not sure what other options I have. I would prefer a polymer over a rubber, and I would like an A2 style finger nub. I looked at the tangodown BG-16 but I'm not sure if it would work with my MOE trigger guard as it has the trigger guard block. Any opinions or ideas guys? Thank you.

It shouldn't be. The MOE for instance should be the same as the MIAD with the medium grip. Did you use the Magpul screw and make sure it was lined up right? Because this doesn't sound right.

I know with my DPMS LR308 I had to use the original screw for the DPMS not the Magpul one that came with the grip. I also had to line it up right since the dimensions were a bit different than regular milspec rifles. If you have a commercial product maybe try doing that and seeing if it now fits properly.

I used both screws and ended up with the same result. My MOE went on fine, but the MIAD is definately out of spec. I've looked up possible solutions online and tried them all, but finally ended up measuring the angle of the grip where the trigger housing is relative to the lower receiver and came up with 82 degrees. Every other of my A2 and Magpul grips do not have this problem.

Mine was an extremely tight fit on the receiver. You must have it cocked crooked. I'd say remove it, and look for any flashing on the plastic that might need removing and be making it tighter than it should be. Put a little WD-40 or G96 on the metal to help it slide.
