Alternative to Aimpoint T1?

I picked up a new Aimpoint T1 2moa earlier this year with high expectations, but after a few range visits I've determined it just isn't for me (reasons relating to flaws in my eyesight).

What in the Eotech line would be a comparable sight? The other option might be a 1-4x scope, but I'd like to keep things $1k and under.

Looking for some ideas here guys.

TIA.

Disappointing to hear. A Leupold Prismatic Tactical sight might work for you, given your eye condition.

Awesome, thanks for taking the time to post all of that. The Trijicon looks like a great optic.

The warranty is 1yr, correct? Are the Trijicons generally problem free?

A strong selling point of the Vortex is of course the lifetime and transferrable warranty - but if the Trijicons are known to be highly reliable than that's less of a consideration.

Lifetime warranty on my Accupoint. The glass is great, better than my Leupold VX-III. Just as good as my $1,600 ACOG.

This optic is still a little pricey (~$900) but it still punches way above it's weight in my mind.

You can't go wrong with a Vortex either, it's an excellent optic. I just love the glowing reticle (in all light conditions without batteries) and the excellent glass of the Trijicon.

I think you'll be happy with the Vortex or Accupoint with your eye condition. I struggled with Aimpoints and Eotechs for a year. I was on cloud nine when I looked through the Accupoint for the first time and had a crisp, clear reticle with my bad stigmatism. It was like the clouds opened up and the angels sang. I felt like I was 19 again, at least my right eye did. ;)

All good suggestions here. I have same issue, but I've learned where on the zig zag line of my t1 to aim? :D

But let me also share another option. Not all red dots share the same issues for our old eyes. :)

Funny you should say that - I have a relatively inexpensive Lucid HD7 on my 10/22 Marauder kit and the reticle is pretty darn clear. Go figure!

I'm going to give the Trijicon a try. I'll try to find something on EE first (buying the new T1 and KAC mount at full retail with taxes and shipping, only to sell now at a loss hurts my pride lol) but if nothing turns up in the near term I'll go through a site sponsor.

Your kidding right?

I thought that was part of the fun, buying stuff that looks like it's just what your after and find out that it's just not right for you. I'm thinking of some middle of the road glass for my AR right now and am reluctant to act because I don't want to go too cheap, but I really can't justify the expence of anything over $500 out the door. I'm afraid it will be like my 7615P, I was so pleased till I got it to the range, then found out I HATED it!!!!

If I had all the money I lost on trades on firearms I didn't like I'd have enough cash to buy an ACOG and an AR to put it on.

Call the Shooting Edge. They carry Accupoints.
