Alternative to Gun Scrubber

I have polished the action on a Stoeger coach gun before with valve lapping compound and some vigorous opening and closing. I have cleaned the compound out after with Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber but my can is almost empty . Went by Sail the other day and the lineup was insane.

Is there anything else out there that does the exact same thing (hard-core scrubber that peels your skin off)? Was looking at G96 Nitro Solvent that you can get at Crappy Tire but was not sure if it was as strong as Gun Scrubber.

Carburetor cleaner.

Lots of different types out there, at various prices. It all works well for your purpose and is a lot cheaper.

You can purchase it in a spray can or a five gallon bucket, or a half liter bottle, which will last most folks a long time

Mix it 50/50 with Kroil and it makes a great penetrating oil/crud cleaner combo

Brake cleaner works well too. Just don't get it in any nylon or plastic bits. - dan

Never thought of brake cleaner, but makes perfect sense. Thanks for the help.
