Figured I'd give you guys an update on the project.
I spent about an hour an a half on Friday with the block, micrometers, dial gauges, and a pencil. I measured that sucker about 800 times. And then I measured it some more. I am VERY pleased with the work done by Dlask. It's exactly what I had asked them to cut for me.
Mostly I've been spending the last few days finishing my blueprints. I've been working on these for over a month and have been cutting the finishing touches on them now that I know what the size of block I'll be working with is. I've also been playing around with the CNC simulator I have and will probably cut it on the CNC mill. not only will this be faster but it will be more accurate than I can hope to be. Not to mention repeatable.
