Well the point I was trying to make was if you are just looking for disposable cases for light loads, then there are plenty of brass cases laying around at any range. One would expect that even well used brass pick-ups have to have less unknowns than once-fired aluminum.
I had a question regarding your aluminum cased ammunition and reloading it. i know it's not meant to be reloaded but i'm wonder if you guys have tried reloading them and what issues you've come across. I'm just curious what testing you've done or if it's just lawyers telling you to put the warnings on the box and cases.
Thanks.
Robert.
Robert, the aluminum has no flex to it and if you tried to reload them you could split cases and you would not get the case mouth to resize to keep the bullet in the case. If you did all of this, upon firing you would have weakened the case so much that you could have the case fail and at 35,000 PSI in a 9MM, bad things would happen.
The simple answer is to not try it.
Ah credible facts. Not I "ain't blow'd up yet." Agree if some one wants to try it go for it, but we all own them the facts and possible risk as we know them.
I wonder if there were ever to be a Kaboom reloading aluminum whether the kaboomer would be brave enough to post about it here?
