Aluminum Blazer cases ???

Well the point I was trying to make was if you are just looking for disposable cases for light loads, then there are plenty of brass cases laying around at any range. One would expect that even well used brass pick-ups have to have less unknowns than once-fired aluminum.

But I feel bad leaving brass cases on the ground on purpose, and I lose enough as it is. Sure there aren't any guarantees, but with common sense and safe practices, it's should be fine.

cci's response as i thought it would be.

My qustion
I had a question regarding your aluminum cased ammunition and reloading it. i know it's not meant to be reloaded but i'm wonder if you guys have tried reloading them and what issues you've come across. I'm just curious what testing you've done or if it's just lawyers telling you to put the warnings on the box and cases.

Thanks.
Robert.

Robert, the aluminum has no flex to it and if you tried to reload them you could split cases and you would not get the case mouth to resize to keep the bullet in the case. If you did all of this, upon firing you would have weakened the case so much that you could have the case fail and at 35,000 PSI in a 9MM, bad things would happen.

The simple answer is to not try it.

Either way i feel very comfortable reloading them with medium loads a few times before chucking them. When someone asks if they are reloadable i will tell them my experiences with it and it will be up to them to decide.

Ah credible facts. Not I "ain't blow'd up yet." Agree if some one wants to try it go for it, but we all own them the facts and possible risk as we know them.

Those credible facts have been known since steel and aluminum cases have been around. But if you noticed he said could, not will. If the case mouth didn't resize properly and hold the bullet secure I would feel that while reloading. If I didn't feel it and shot the round with the bullet seated to deep the same thing would happen in a brass case.

You should pm sunray, you guys can talk about how steel and aluminum can't be reloaded, there is no berdan primers being made anymore and fuddism.

yup,,pretty much,,i load aluminum cases all the time,,,never had a bullet not hold probably,,but no matter how many people say they reload aluminum cases,,there will will ALWAYS be doom and gloom naysayers screaming how crazy it is,,,not that THEY have ever tried it themselves,,,

I wonder if there were ever to be a Kaboom reloading aluminum whether the kaboomer would be brave enough to post about it here?

i've done it for 4 years now,,,if i had a dangerous issue,,,i sure as hell would post it on here and other sites to try and prevent it happening to someone else,,
