Always wanted a 10mm, just ordered a carbine...

A 10mm in a carbine is about the only pistol caliber carbine that would interest me. That sucker would haul out of a carbine length barrel. Viable hunting carbine.
 
I have decided that this one is gone wear a Sparc, never find a rifle to put i on, it will be just perfect for it... JP.
 
I have the Storm in .40cal and I can plink out to 200m quite accurately with it. The nice thing about 10mm is it is the same bullet as 40 and you can reload practice ammo at lower power to reduce the wear on the gun.

This would make a nice gun for hiking and working in the bush. 11rounds in the gun and another mag or 2 on your belt.

I noted that the bolt seems fairly small and perhaps it uses stiffer springs to hold the bolt close. The Storm uses a larger bolt to provide the resistance for the blowback to work properly.
 
We just sold out of the 10mm and contacted the distributor for more. Found out there has been a $200 increase so we are not sure if we'll be brining more or not. :(
Still have 357 sig, 45 acp and 9mm...
 
When I spoke to the owner of TD he told the that the bolt is only slightly heavier than the .45. I personally don't see a blowback rifle based off the .45 acp holding up to a steady diet of full power 10mm without some modifications. That was a lesson learned by manufacturers that tried to convert their .45 pistols to 10mm with no consideration of the much higher slide velocity way back when... I am going to try and find a heavier compatible recoil spring to use.

Some reviews i have read are explaining that the TD10 as a much bigger spring du to the extra power, those are fully adapted and totally up to it according to these reviews, this TD cie look like a very good one, future will tell... JP.

Which reviews?
I haven't seen much feedback on the 10mm, but I emailed TD about them, here are the questions and response,
Hi Keith, Just curious....I'm thinking about the 10mm and wondering if it can handle heavy custom loads like the Glock 20?

(reply)It should handle them without any problems but you will want to keep a eye on the rubber tip on the buffer to make sure it does not fail.

Did you guys test them extensively with double tap or buffalo bore type loads? There's not much info on the 10mm's out there and I hear you've got some heading north soon!

(reply)We have not tested with the loads you are asking about. We do have some that should be going up there shipping out of here by the end of next week. (Andy says that if you would like to make a sizeable donation to our ammo fund we will spend all of it on Buffalo Bore and Double Tap). We have not had any problems with the 10mm rifles that are out in the field.

Bastards... the lot of you. I keep waffling on a PCC, and would prefer one in 10mm, but a 9mm would be just as fun. Of course, now that North Sylva is bringing in those TNW carbines, I want to see if they're planning on doing anything in 10mm too.
 
A .45ACP with lighter than 230gr. bullets and a 19" barrel would absolutely sing if slower powders are used. Someone with Quickload should do up some figures up on 155gr. SWC bullets and get back to us. THAT would be impressive, I do believe.
