I have a load for my 338 LM at 93gr of Retumbo that i chonoed at 2800 fps in my 27 inches pipe.

Is this speed OK for 338 LM ?

I looked at Federal website and they list their FGMM 300gr at 2600 ?

I don't have flat primers, ejector marks or real sticky bolt lift.

What are you pushing them ?

Likely has to do with the barrel length. Hodgdon shows 2654 fps with a max load(94.0C) out of a 1 in 9, 24" barrel. The extra 146 you're getting is likely due to the extra 3" of barrel.

89.5gr Retumbo, Lapua brass, 215M primers, 0.020" off lands, 300gr SMK - 2735 fps average in my Savage.

I got just over 2800 fps with Vihtavuori N570 powder and 300 grain Scenars in a 26 inch barrel and staying within published data loads.

Wow ! You a fast barrel and tight chamber to generate this speed with only 88.5 gr.
My TRG has that speed with 91.5 gr Retumbo.
How long a barrel this Savage as ?

Just noticed I typed 88.5 instead of 89.5gr. Edited my post.

26" barrel, and the chamber is definitely tight though.

Hornady factory ammo is really difficult to open the bolt (I won't use it anymore), S&B factory still tough but tolerable.. Lapua brass is the best I have found but still get some sticky bolt lift at 89.5gr. 2735 is just numbers on a chronograph for right now though, haven't brought it out far enough yet where I would consider drop data as being useful enough to true it.
