270 IMO is one of the best all around calibres out there I've shot everything from grouse to moose with mine. Really have to shoot the grouse in the head though lol

Isn't ruger doing a limited run of 7x57's stamped .275 rigby? Would one of these comply with that foolish .275 and under rule? As much as I like the .270 the 7x57 just has so much more charm

Buy a Thompson/Center Encore Pro-Hunter... Then you can just buy barrels in whatever caliber you have a whim for.

I wish I had started this way, lol.
