I have been souring the internet looking for 20 Gauge dove loads. I thought I was being quite reasonable, ANY steel shot between #6-8 :HR:. Is there somewhere I haven't looked? I am in Hamilton, and might check out Fishing World in person because their website is coming up dry. Any help or advice is always welcome.

You do. They are a migratory bird.

Have you tried Lebaron or Sail? I have had good luck with odd things there.

Are you sure about that? I seem to recall there is an exception for doves - but I may be wrong so look it up.

Sorry should have added something. I only said that so matter of factly as I am new to this hunting thing entirely. Apparently there wasn't a non-toxic shot requirement in years past but since the new mourning dove season being added in Ontario that has changed. Don't know why. Seems in other provinces you may still be able to use lead.

Ah yes, I see. Here in BC:
In British Columbia, non-toxic shot must be used to hunt migratory game birds, except for Band-tailed Pigeons and Mourning Doves

Try Humasson in Ancaster. Not sure if they carry any steel shot, but they carry lots of reloading supplies as well as factory target loads and slugs.

Al's on locke street always had a pretty good selection of 20ga. This close to the season it might be hard to find in stock. My local said they've had a tough time getting their orders filled this year.

Try Hummasons in Ancastor.
They make lead shot but they have every shell known to man I think in stock.
They deal to the public. Good guys.
