Before spending two days in Lansing, MI I stopped and picked up my new Dan Wesson Commander 10mm (sorry no pictures). I was sitting in my motel room; I realized I didn't have my beloved Bersa Thunder 45 and no ammunition for the handgun I had with me. I went to Gander Mountain, bought some ammo, and returned to my room. Am I paranoid or what? Regards, Richard :D

Probably not Paranoid.

I get bell express vu here. One month they offered free fox news, Katrina had hit so I watched that fox news everyday. After a month of fox I was nervous leaving the house. So I lifetime of that well I am surprised your able to get out of bed without packin heat.

Anyway free foxs is gone. Back to another boring documentary on the CBC. And Rick Mercers rant.

If you would like to mellow out a bit move up here and watch for a month the exciting debate over frost heaves in Montreal.

Yes, you yanks seem to be awfully paranoid but what do I know, I live in an area where gun crime is virtually non existant and I have never spent any amount of time in the US (or the bigger cities in Canada for that matter).
I feel sorry for anyone who feels that they have to have a gun on their side in order to leave the house (and one in the nightstand and one in the kitchen drawer and one in the glovebox and one stashed in your toolbox etc etc)

You say that as if it would be a bad thing!!!! :D

It's Murphy law, if you have a gun and no ammo, you can be sure that crap will happen were you need your gun. If you carry a gun, always have some ammo for it, that way nothing will happen. For the same reason I carry a large first aid kit, fire extingusher and emergancy supplies. Now my life is boring as Murphy doesn't bug me to much these days (knock on wood)

Hey Richard,
You've fought for the right to be paranoid and to be able to
take care of the paranoia....lol
I would like the same right in Canada.
I wouldn,t want a gun without bullets either.

Don't you think it's nice living where you don't really need a gun to protect yourself?? I wouldn't trade with south of the border.

Yes, you know how Vermont can get. Blood running in the streets and all that:rolleyes:

It may be true that the odds of being in a violent encounter up here in Canada are less. But it means s#@t if you happen to be part of the statistics.
It's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

I hear you there, that's one spot I wouldn't at all mind living in. One of two states with concealed carry with no permits...if only they didn't have motorcycle helmet laws and did have OHIP, that would be close to paradise.

REALLY? When did you move to the space station?

One thing nice about owning a gun, it takes all the fun out of robbing people for the criminals.;)
