Am I the only one that wont run cheap ammo such as Norc through my AR?

I have shot close to 2000 rounds thru mine. I have had ONE(1) failure with both white and yellow box Norinco .223 ammo. It was a bad primer. I tried to fire it at least 10 times just for ####s and giggles.

I can't see why anyone wouldn't shoot it. Yes its dirty, and apparently some older production stuff was undersized, but if you clean your rifle and don't buy anything older than 95 production, you will do just fine.

If you buy in bulk and pay attention to price, you can get it for 23-25 cents per round.

No, obviously if you are shooting serious prescision competitions, you will want match ammo, and this isn't it, but I have shot slightly better than MOA with it in a basic rifle too.

But hey, if you don't like it, great! :) more for me

at 25 cents per round it's not more expensive than reloading using your own brass. So why reload for blast ammo I guess.

Just to add to this, I had a membership at the vegreville gun club, and the man who interviewed me, yes a sit down interview at the range, had asked me if I intended to use an sks, or steel cased ammo as they wanted to ban them. He said nothing about 5.56, just the 7.62x39. I think usually that's the complaint. I sort of understand the frustration. I've witnessed it first hand at my range in Melville. Couple kids come to the range with an sks, and mint green boxes of stripper clipped corrosive ammo, and fire from the hip from 30 feet from the target. They blow the target supports apart, and shatter the beams running along the targets. Why you'd need to go to a range to do that is beyond me. Easily do that in the bush. And they always leave a mountain of steel all over, as they often don't shoot from the benches.
awesome those kids make me laugh, ill often offer them guns and ammo to shoot and watch and remeniss my
Youth.
