Well - I made my debut coyote hunting on the 31'st. I had the good fortune of being invited down to the Lindsay area to hunt with some of the local cognoscenti.
Here's a twist - they use hounds specifically bred to track coyotes and wolf. I must say, those coyotes are fast and cagey! We had quite a day, saw five in total, managed to bag one.
Interesting pastime - think I'll try it up north. Will have to modify the regimen as pushing hounds through deep snow and tight bush would be difficult.
Including cognoscenti, but I think those are rare and endangered.....
Well, AM I?
Bunch of pussies can't take a little cold/rain and snow?

It would be worth bear hunting just to do that fondue again!
