There will be an informal bullseye rifle match at the AMA outdoor facility on Saturday 21 March starting at 1000.

We will be having breakfast at the Big Stop in Enfield at 0830, for whoever would like to join us. Registration at the range starting at at 0930. The cost is $5.

The course of fire will be two strings of ten on score, with more strings if we can depending on how many show up.

We will spend some time before we shoot for score to get everyone on paper for those who may not have a 280 yard zero!

This is an open match, no memberships required. Anyone in the Halifax area who would like to haul out their centre-fire rig and join us, by all means come out and let the wind blow the winter stink off you.

I will check here periodically for questions/pms.

Emphasis on informal - this won't be the olympics. Come out and burn some powder. There may be a 280 yard Oreo cookie shoot at the end for bragging rights.

edit: Any caliber, any rig, any rest, any sights. Run what you brung. There are two benches on site for the BR guys to fight over - we will squad appropriately to allow folks to use them.

Great big thanks to Ron for putting this together.

The brute in the yellow muffs is a new shooter (1st time last week, out again today)

He had a great time ( and look at that trigger finger control! )

We were very fortunate to have some experienced long rangers teach us the ropes.

I caught the 10 circle 2nd round down range, VERY nice gun indeed!

Ronny no solo pics of you?

Friday is good for me also. They're still saying rain for Saturday. I'm going to be out most of the day but will check in late this afternoon (Thurs). My finger is itching, it needs to be scratched :)
Anybody been talking to Viper ?

The schedule was cleared, arrangements were made and I was up to midnight cleaning guns and packing bags......

Then at 6:15 this morning the flu decided to drop by for a visit......

Well needless to say as the DHH (Designated Head Holder) of the family I won't be able to make it today.

Have a great day, or at least a Good Friday at the range.

It was a difficult choice...yard work or go shooting...it must have taken 15-20 minutes to get my gear together and load it in the car.

Sunny, almost too much, but 12 degrees and almost no wind. It was a good range day. Hopefully the road in will firm up soon, the ruts are getting pretty deep at the moment.:p

There's an IPSC match on Sunday this week (Apr 26th) but we should definitley work on getting a shoot together after that. The road should be firming up by then as well. I'll throw it out at practice night tomorrow.
