I have only used Hornady 52gr HP Match bullets in my .223 so far with really good results on paper, but didn't find any at the WSS in Saskatoon today. What is the difference between the Amax and the Vmax, if I was going to shoot vermin and paper? Vermin being no larger than a coyote and no further than 200 or so yards. I'm using Benchmark powder with really good results with the bullets I'm currently using. Thanks in advance.

V-max makes an exellent target round if your shooting paper I have had exellent results. It will have exellent performance on varmints too... you can try using your match holopoints they wont expand as quickly as a purpose built varmint bullets

As dan pointed out really only difference is the BC...

If you stick with the 50gr Vmax it is still a boat tail. the 55 and up are flat base. If your gun likes flat base bullets they shoot well.
