im looking for a ambi mag catch/release that will not interfere with a ambi bolt release.

i have the magpul bad lever and was thinking about buying another one but i remember seeing a while back someone makes one that doesnt just screw on to the standard bolt release lever.
dont get me wrong, the bad lever is nice but if im going to buy another one for $40 i think ide rather buy a 1 piece lever.
the KAC mag release doesnt look like it will work with the bad lever, any other ambi mag releases? my buddys Norc has one that is nice, but finding one off a norc is next to impossible.

I was looking for one earlier too...someone pointed me towards Norgon. It's basically a better quality version of the Norc.

Phase 5 tactical one piece bolt catch?

Should work with both the Norgon and Troy ambi mag release.

How does the troy one work? Does it use the receiver as leverage to pop the mag out? Just a little worried about it damaging the receiver over time.
The norgon one looks good, some reviews say its stiff but that's fine.

That phase 5 bolt catch is exactly what I had in mind.

I have a KAC ambi mag release on one of my rifles...it's a Spikes lower. It also uses the lower for leverage to release the mag...no issues so far, but I don't get out to shoot as much as most of you.

As a lefty shooter, I was a little torn as to which to go with, as well.

I did a few searches on reviews and comparisons (Brownells, Amazon, M4Carbine.net, AR15.com, etc) - and the Troy ambi mag release was the clear (and overwhelming) favorite.

It works using leverage against the lower - so it can leave a mark in cheaper finishes, but thats not much of a concern to me - especially when weighed against the Troy's positive features.

It purportedly works just fine with a BAD lever, as well (as does the Norgon).

Finally - it was in stock at Brownells, while the Norgon was a back order item and I'm just not patient like that - ha ha!
