Hello Gents,

I if this is a stupid question, please to make too much fun of me

I've got a Norc 1911 and it has the Ambi Safety set-up. I've figured out how to pull the right side safety off (thank you search function).

While the left side safety doesn't seem to be in any danger of coming off, I'm wondering if the grip safety might not be 100% anymore because of the removed safety.

Am I going to be sorry if I go to the range as is?

Or should I hunt down a single sided safety and plunk it in? How hard is a single to put in?

Thanks for your time and consideration.

Best regards,

You would be safer putting a regular safety back on. Pun not intended:rolleyes:

Getting the right side off is easy, just take the right hand grip off and the lever rotates forwards and down and comes off. When you change to a regular safety you must also change the hammer pin. On the ambi the pin has an extra little dovetail at the end. This is what holds the right hand satety lever on.

It is very easy to do, I did it on mine.
