I've used a number of thumbhole and vertical grip stocks (ShurShot stock for Remington 870 shotgun, biathlon stocks, etc) and really like their ergonomics.

I'd like to get an ambidextrous thumbhole stock for my Ruger 10/22. It has to have a low enough comb to allow use with the 10/22's iron sights, proper bedding for both standard and bull barrels (ideally free-floating), a flat-bottomed forend, and ideally a 13.5" length of pull (although that usually can be easily adjusted).

I was considering in particular the Predator T-Rex:

Does anyone have experience with this stock? In particular, I'd like to confirm its suitability for use with iron sights, and with the standard barrel.

Are there any other stocks which would meet these requirements?

I was considering that stock...didn't get a chance to handle it. I went with the Boyd's evolution stock instead because I got a good deal on it. Fairly happy with it...although in my case I don't use iron sights with this particular setup (this 10/22 has a 20" Green mountain bull barrel and a 6-20x50AO scope).

The only thing I added to the Boyd's stock was a sling stud on the forearm to mount a Harris bipod on. The Boyd's stock will free float both standard and bull barrels, but it would probably look funny with a standard barrel.

Most of the aftermarket stocks are designed for scope use. Much to high a comb for iron sights. I have not handled a predator t-rex but it looks like it was built for scoped use and it says it is designed for bull barrels so you would have to build up the barrel bedding for a stock barrel. All in all maybe not the best choice for what you want IMHO

I think I'll go with the Choate Dragunov stock:

From the reviews I've read, it's better than the ATI Dragunov stock:
http://www.atigunstocks.com/products.aspx?category=18&page=1&id=52

Advantages of the Choate stock:
- adjustable length of pull (12.5 to 13.5")
- same weight as the regular 10/22 stock (not forward-heavy, as with the lighter ATI stock)
- drop at comb allows use of iron sights. Can add a cheekpad for scope use

Here's an interesting survival rifle setup using a Dragunov stock: :)
