...but being Canada...let's be realistic. :)

Thought you guys might be interested in seeing a brochure for one of these awesome guns. I came across it while clearing-out my dad's old house a couple of years ago. I remember a friend of dad's was a police officer in New Brunswick where we lived at the time (1969-1981) and gave him this to give to me. The story I remember hearing is that it was a gun they were approached about buying for service in the police force, but that it wasn't ever going to happen. Anyhow, it's in bad shape...and my scanner is crappy...but it's a gun you only ever hear about when someone is talking about the magazine being used in a .22 AR upper. There are some great YouTube videos with this monster in action, but this is the only brochure I've ever seen, or even heard of. I've done my best to find a way to try and share it~enjoy! :)

**anyone interested in the higher-resolution photos, PM me your email address and I'll send 'em over!

I had the AM180 drum and conversion from bazooka bros for my SU-22. They make a couple conversion kits.
I had the largest drum, 275 rounds. It was a smile maker. The weird thing and what took some time to get use to was the drum rotating and kick the gun slightly.
I really liked that the drum was horizontal and you could shoot from a low bipod. The normal drums I find teardrop far lower than the AM 180 drum.

Aye. Look at the laser sight in the bottom pictures (that lunch box sized block under the barrel) and see how far the tech has come!

Somewhere in my stuff I have a Firepower magazine with a pretty good write-up on the AM 180. Did. So. Want! :)

Over the years a lot of folks have tinkered with the design. I recall seeing a picture of a fighter in the former Yugoslavia mess using one that looked like it had vacuum formed covers on the mag. Clear and a lot of rounded corners, as opposed to the black sharp cornered original.

Cheers

Allegedly Yugoslavia made a copy in small numbers for their military.

I remember when Firepower went bankrupt and I had a chance to buy the entire series. So I did

FPS Russia has one in his videos on youtube. It was just awesome to watch. Made me think of revenge on the shyster Carnival guys with the full-auto bb-guns that you try to shoot out the red star. (next to impossible, and I am sure they only load in about 80 BB's in the damn brass "straw". ) B astards

Believe it or not, I actually did shoot that star out 1 time. Not a real accomplishment when I factor-in how much money I spent over the years attempting to do it! :) That crappy teddy bear probably cost me $500! :) Best part was the game operator who practically pulled out a magnifying glass...looking for even a fiber of red paper. lol
