American Eagle Ammo??

Anyone shoot the bulk 223 American eagle ammo in their rifle? If so how did it perform? Thinkin of ordering 300 for my Savage 11, but dont want to gum up the barrel with surplus powder and what not.

it burns clean enough. accuracy will vary. would shoot terriblere out of a rem 7 i had, group decent out of a savage varment. its cheap plinking ammo not target quality.

I have shot it in my 223 for function checks and comparison for hand loading nothing more..it's okay but has not given me my best results

I've shot AE black box exclusively out of my AR. No real issues, seems as clean as anything else I've ever used.

Same here, the black box ar223 seems to work really well and for .50/rd isn't too bad of a price.

I find it's more accurate than the UMC stuff for the same price. Can you buy a 20round box to test it out before you buy a case?
