Hello All, I recently have came into the possession of an old American Gun Co. Double barrel double trigger shot gun. My dad had it tucked away in a closet for 20 plus years. The stock is busted up pretty good but everything else seems fine. All numbers matching I took some pics if anyone is interested. Was curious if anyone knew if there was any value in fixing it up? It's a neat old gun I'm debating on doing it just for fun anyway. If anyone has any information it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi. American Gun Co. firearms were made by Crescent Arms for H&D Folsom Sporting Goods, New York City, c. 1895-1930. House brand like J.C. Higgins was for Sears. Bust bunch Crescent was. Made stuff for a slew of other retailers too. Eventually owned by Folsom, then Savage. Add the W's. .shotgunworld.com/bbs/cpg1410/displayimage.php?album=36&pos=0
Zero collector value, so replacing the stock won't matter. Check for Damascus barrels first though. Those aren't worth doing anything with. Checking involves looking in the barrel. If there appears to be what looks like rifling, the barrels are Damascus.
Trick to the stock will be finding one that's close to the right size and fitting it. This is not something you want to pay a smithy to do. Doing it yourself isn't a horrible thing.

Thanks a lot for the response. It is a Damascus barrel I won't waste my time making anything for it. The one side of the stock looks good I might clean it pull the pins and make a wall hanger. My grandpa was a gunsmith so my paarents place is full of stuff like this.
