Ok, I have never been to one of the big importer’s locations out East so maybe this is normal and I just need to get into the city more… But my last visit to a major vendor in the West was nothing like this.
Iraqveteran is an interesting fellow but he does tend to ramble a tad… Just turn the volume down and wallow in the jealousy. When the old fella gets out the photo album turn it back up, it's interesting.

Select grade Garand rifles for $450.00? Racks of them? And they are getting MORE from Korea. Wonder if we could work a trade for a pallet or two of refurb SVT-40s?
 
"...Select grade Garand rifles for $450.00?..." They're not 'select' grades at $450US. They're 'Rack' grades. Rack grades are considered to be in 'Fair' condition.
"...getting MORE from Korea..." Nope. The CMP has nothing to do with the Korean sale. The CMP only gets what the U.S. military/government gets for them. The Korean stuff will be bought by places like Century Arms.
There are hoops to jump through in order to be allowed to buy from the CMP too.

Fair enough. Still better by leaps and bounds than what we usually get here and for a heckofalot less money than we pay for what we CAN get.

Generalizing. Since we can't bring them up here anyway they could be coming into Walmart or the Foot Locker for all the good it does us.
