Hey guys, so I've decided that my next rimfire will be a CZ 455. Now I need to decide between the american or the Lux.... The main goal of this rifle will be silhouette and probably some smallbore target competition. I like the look of both rifles so what I want to know is there a difference in accuracy? I'm obviously looking for the most accurate of the two. I will be mounting a scope but I do like how you at least have the option of iron sights on the Lux. Any help would be appreciated! :) Thanks,
-Nathan

If your mounting a scope then the American is most appropriate, as the Lux stock comb is optimised for iron sights.

Thanks for all the info guys, I definitely want to mount a scope so an American it is! Or maybe I should just get both so I can shoot one scoped and one iron sights.....

Varmint may not be legal in "hunting rifle" silhouette. I shot the Lux fine with a scope as the more upright head position is usually prefered in offhand shooting. Not so in any other type of shooting. The lux has the iron sights, the american not.

So the Lux would be more comfortable shooting offhand? I'm thinking silhouette will be the gun's main purpose so being a good offhand shooter would be a must. Ya I like the varmint but no good for silhouette.

Stick with the American for silhouette. The Lux's stock is just too low for shooting with a decent sized scope (which you will need).
