Ammo block alternatives

All good team! Bought some FA Black Friday deal trays. Big buggers bit works.

I just like yo try and be thrifty/ innovative and bring new to reloading was looking horn yo our clever ideas. Sometimes they are tight in front of you.

Name brand markups are nuts. $13 or not.

"Got into Reloading to Save money" - Maybe at one time that might have been true - shell holders for the press used to be $3 or $4 - I see them on-line north of $30 each, now. Primers used to be $29.99 for 1000 - now like $20.99 for 100. I often see gunpowder at $89 per pound or more - it was not always like that.

Dont think reloading is by any means cheaper. Even with the used equip and great deals I have found, I have just spent a bundle! I am just interested in it as a hobby and to work with loads for range shooting.

I love spending time in the gun room!

Just set the cases on the table primer side down and when you have 40 or so there then you accidently tip one over and they all go down like dominos you can sweep up the powder and start over lol

The mtm universal tray is $15 on Amazon with free prime shipping.
As long as he doesn't live rural, that would indeed be a good choice. I was pointing out though that it's not a crime to think about how to make something as opposed to just pulling the wallet out and throwing cash. My father grew up through the tail end of the depression, so I guess I look at things differently.

Just the dregs from each jug of powder, spillage and powder from "Mexican match" when I put a heavier hunting bullet in the commie case. It will likely end up as lawn fertilizer.
I have one of those from pulling down unknown ammo as wel as pulling 7.62x54r for the bullets to use in my .303 Brit haha. It’s ā€œmaybeā€ 3031 so when I have a pound of it I’ll do something fun :).

A couple of ounces in a zip-lock baggie tossed on a bonfire makes for a more interesting disposal method.
Also freaks out the citiots the first time, when you tell them what it is.
