Anyone in hear collect different calibers of ammo?
I would like to start a collection but am unsure how to aquire single rds.

Would also like to see pics if there any collectors.

I have a small collection, but nothing fancy.... I found most of my stuff at gun shows, but I'm sure the fine folks here can help get you started....just post a WTB in the EE
 
Guns shows and friends mostly. Back in the "legal days", you could get singles (deactivated) set through the mail from some of the big collectors in the US. The Easter gun show in Calgary brings out some interesting stuff some times. Here are some old shots (pun intended) of my collection beginnings:

There are a good number of Canadians in the IAA. Through the IAA Forum you can get in-touch with some of them. With membership in the IAA, you get a complete Member's Directory.

You can pick up rounds at many gunshows. You can also buy a number of them and have them shipped by courier (Canpar etc). Edmonton/Calgary tend to have a few available at most gun shows, including wide varieties. There is a cartridge show in Edmonton once a year as well in the fall. You can pick up rounds of more common items via friends/range/gun club members often by just asking for a round.
There are alot of cartridge shows in the US as well, there is some minor paperwork involved but you can travel down and pick them up that way.
