I was just asking the other day about the pros and cons of the .45 and 9mm. I was going to buy a .45 until I saw the price of the .45 . Was $28.00 and 9 mm was $13.99. Made up my mind real fast and forgot about the .45 and bought a STI Trojan 5 9 mm yesterday.

Benson.

I shot 9mm.....moved to .40 and now shoot .45. My smile has never been bigger when shooting the Four-Five. Pure Satisfaction.

I started reloading for the .45 as well. Brings the price down to $14 a box for Hollow point Match rounds. Cheaper than 9mm.

Reloading seems to be the way forward with the .45 ACP. Probably a good thing I've been reloading for rifles for years (thanks Mr. Weatherby!) since my first pistol will be arriving tomorrow (1911). I've learned that the size of the smile matters more than the hole in the wallet.

if you go as far as casting you own bullets it's rediculous how cheap it gets.
it just becomes a matter of time you have to cast, load and shoot
