Check Cabela's and tell me when they had anything worthwhile on sale in respect to rimfire ammo.

Several months ago they had Federal Black Box on sale for ~$55 for a box of 1100 if I recall - I #### the bed on that sale as they produce some extremely accurate groups out of my 22!

Noted and already in transaction! Lol must go back to camp and pay for my addiction get er while you can!

Picky people don't shoot much. It all goes bang. It will all hit a man sized target at 100m. That's all you need.

But hold off buying ammo please. Leaves more for me.

I'll give you a hint.
- Look south of the border...who won the last election...

Biden will soon be nominated for the gun salesman of the year.

There are additional reasons for the panic buying of ammo currently seen south of the border, not just who's in the White House. Those reasons may be as or more significant as who won the last election.

The big ammo shortage began after the 2012 mass shooting of mostly children in Sandy Hook. Undeniably, .22 ammo stocks were recovering by 2016, an election year, but ammo was still not as readily available as it was before Sandy Hook . Despite widespread expectations of the White House going to the Democrats in November 2016, there was no similar run on ammo leading up to the election. The most recent U.S. shortage of .22LR ammo (and other calibers) began long before Biden's win in the November 2020 election and other causes have contributed to it.

Events in 2020 amplified a growing general uneasiness in America. Public concern about safety in the wake of racial unrest, the encouragement of the idea that the November election would be fraudulent, the growing bellicosity of various groups of Americans on the left and the right, and the general uncertainty about the future created by the pandemic all contributed to the ammo shortage, not just fears that Bernie, AOC, and Biden were coming for gun-owners' firearms.

Ammo shelves down South were emptying early last Spring, so I took the hint back then. I watch a lot of their forums. I started building a small supply when the C lockdowns began. Local BPs and Cabs were having trouble getting restocked by Summer. Here in Atlantic area prices have remained 'normal', but local BP still mostly empty shelves and LGS owner says he doesn't know when he can get re-supply. I bought his remaining SK & CCI-SV & Fed Champion, even a few hundred Rem Gs and got a couple cases of x39.On top of prior stock I should be good a couple years or so. Assuming we keep our guns . . . otherwise some boating in my future . . .

The Conspiracy / Panic is starting to effect everyone .
I have enough rimfire ammunition for personal use to
last 2/3 years and I feel the need to stock up on more.
[
It is a self-fulfilling prophecy ./I]

I've been set on 22lr since 2012-2013, and still sitting on alot of those same bricks. Going into this one I felt comfortable other than some small pistol primers(has to be federal) but recently got into precision rimfire and all the sudden felt the pinch of Maybe not being able to get higher quality ammo that I may want, only problem I don't know what my gun likes yet, watched a few different videos on the gun and got a general consensus of what it might like so ended up finding and ordering a brick of each type, and now I feel like I have to sell a kidney or a testicle for hitting that complete order button!

Here is Cold Lake the first signs are disappearing 12 gauge buckshot and bulk 22 rimfire.
More for the reloaders it's disappearing match rifle primers. Not as bad as last March but with spring weather not many weeks away (and Biden) I do believe we are going to see more obvious deficiencies in April.

I moved to Canada in the 80's. I remember ammo and primer shortages here a few times.
This time I think is different, as folks down South are stocking up in fear of the Dems.
Last year, it's reported that some 20-21 million new firearms were sold in the US. Need ammo to feed them.
So we see results of this buying frenzy here as we are just a small portion of what the manufacturers can deliver.
I saw a YouTube of the CCI Pres.doing a video addressing this problem and his company is trying to meet the demand.
It is an interesting video and worth watching in regards to the ammo shortage
I also hear some prices are going to increase 15 to 30 percent. OUCH!!
Something I've learned after living here so long.....Buy Early and Often !!
