Unfortunately these deals are usually limited to a particular store. Great prices for those in Mt pearl though.

May be a company wide price change. Stores very rarely use store initiated mark down to clear out ammo.
Might be worth while to check your local store!

Walmart in Dartmouth Crossing has the .22lr golden boy for $6.00 a box of 100, picked up five myself.

I'm not sure but it seems like the sale items are varying from store to store. Charlottetown wal mart has zero ammunition on the shelf and what's on the shelf 45 minutes down the road is heavily discounted. 30-06, 7mm rem mag and 300 win mag were the big ones at my local store

That wouldnt shock me. The same boxes of bullets sit on the shelf at my local wal marts for ever.

They have sales on ammo from time to time at the Walmart here as well . I enquired as to why , and the manager said the stuff on sale was just slow selling stock that needed to be cleared . The manager said that Walmart would still be selling ammo....

Was at Walmart tonight and picked up 6 boxes of Winchester 12 gauge 2-3/4" 1-1/8oz #2 lead for $6/box... Not to bad at all was also some rim fire on clearance as well but it was all gone.
