Still cheaper to buy milsurp when there's a good supply. Here's hoping.
 
in need of 7.62x39, any estimated arrival time? I have 2 vz's and no ammo.. absolutely no ammo and december 21st is just around the corner lol I do have almost 2000 rounds of 556 but no rifle to shoot that caliber.... I've made some bad moves lately - I know.
 
No ammo Famine.

The prices were down and stock was up everywhere.

If there is a 'Famine', it will be created and promoted by the industry. limit shipments...drive up prices.

Manufacturers don't like having their product sold for $300 a case. They Love it when people were in a frenzy to buy it at $500+.
 
Can't the Canadian military ammo producers produce bulk ammo for us at affordable rates. I find that difficult to believe. Their production lines are not running 24/7 are they?

I remember a long time ago when I was buying computer disks from bulk barrels at rediculously low prices. Can't we have the same? Bulk ammo loose in crates or barrels. I can't see the cost being higher than the Chinese or am I wrong?

Edit I think most of us are willing to forgo nice packaging. Just a big container with loose ammo is all that I need
 
I would guess we are being mentally prepared for a price hike. Chinas costs are going up

The market demand for ammo is substantial and dealers will always stock the question is at what price
 
Currenty, and in forseable future, anything AR related will be flying off the shelves...and it already is. I'm in touch with 'mericans from all over US that are part of a motorcycle racing club and in the forums they are all saying that no matter what AR manucturer it is, its ALL sold out...as well as the ammo.
 
Judging by the number of calls from the US we are getting, 223 could be in very short supply soon (if not already)

That is assuming today is not the end of the world. Stay tuned for news on that.

This is exactly why my recent ammo purchase the last two weeks have been.

3500 rnds .223 rem
2000 rnds .45 ACP
5000 rnds 9mm
500 rnds .308 win
5000 rnds .22 LR

This is not including what is already in the vault.

I buy all my ammo in large quantities. It's just so much more cheaper.

I reckon a couple of canoes or sea kayaks -- depending on the number of people in the party/family -- would get you just as far, if not farther. On the west coast you're good to go to Alaska or South America. On the east side of the Rockies, it's all downhill to the Great Lakes and the Atlantic. The Milk River in southern Alberta feeds into the Missouri which then dumps into the ol' Mississippi, taking you down to the Gulf of Mexico. Or follow the Athabasca and Slave rivers northward to the MacKenzie system. Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream....merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, fuel is but a dream!
