Ammo for 22 WMR Stevens

I just picked up a Stevens 305 for a good deal the other day. According to the Stevens site, its 1 in 16 twist. I bought some 30 grain Hornady V max today, but the same store also had 50 grain Federal. Wal mart also has 40 grain Winchester Supreme locally.

What ammo are you guys getting best results with? What bullet weight is best suited to this rate of twist?

I don't have a Stevens but my Marlin 983 and my Henry H001TM both shoot best with Federal Gameshock 50 grain. Easy 1.5" three shot groups at 100 yards with the Marlin.

hornady v max are under 1" out of my CZ with that twist

Havent found any ammo that shot good out of my cz. 50 yards shoots alright but at 100 its 1.5-4" 5 shot groups.

Edit:
This was really bothering me tonight so I went and checked out the rifle to find the barrel was resting on the forend. After breaking out the sandpaper all is good and floated now. Will update after the range visit.

Ok I made a quick range trip today. Almost no wind and hovering around -20 today which was a welcome change as its been -28 and -35 or colder with the windchill.
Shot a group of 5 at 50 yards with cci tnt great group one hole. At 100 yards was right around an inch.
Shot hornady 30gr vmax as well 100 yard groups(5 shots) one was 1" and the other I pulled 2 shots but it was 1.5".
I was in a rush as well so that could be why groups wernt as good as they could have been but its still a welcome change form the patterning of 4 inches like before.

I've been using CCI 30gr and 40gr with great results in mine

I have had great success with the federal 50 gr in my older mossberg. It wouldn't group at all with some of the other choices, 30gr grouped 12+" at 100 yrds, a couple of the 40 gr loads run about 1.5-2", but the 50gr is .75" at 100 on a still day.
