Ok, I just read this thread. Who do I talk to so I can get 10mins of my life back?

Agreed I was just thinking how it all started about where to find ammo for the HK MP7 and then turned into a discussion about JTF2 and the variations of the C8 CQB.

He does have a bit more experience than most on here when it comes to ARs...probably not as much as someone who worked at Milarm though.

Older C8CQB are 10" new ones are 11.5"
We (KAC) found that the 11.5" is a better idea than 10-10.5" for several reasons, I am guess others have too.

Of course he is, he actually makes a living in the industry. Not just re-posting facts/opinions picked up through surfing other forums. First hand knowledge is always going to be more revered than second and third.

I'm not begrudging KevinB's expertise. He is definitely a knowledgeable person who's making a living in the industry. But the mythos built up here is ridiculous to me. I don't see any other products or modifications that are "x-approved".

And finally, some good sense. Guys who are working at that level don't give a s**t about magazine articles or internet commando debates. They use what works for them and train hard with it.

I believe his intention was to note that they get the job done with the gear they are issued.... they don't use "what works for them" they use what they are given.

Not to thread hijack, but here's another photo of a JTF2 soldier on the left(with beard) sporting his Eotech mounted on the rail in front of the carry handle. It must be some JTF2 thing?!?!

Well being an interstellar warrior I've always found the eotech worked better for me mounted forward of the receiver (AR15, SA CQB). I'm not saying it wouldn't be better on a FF rail but maybe when shooting at 200m or less and you know how to shoot (as I imagine the members of JTF2 do) its a mute point.
