Ammo for IPSC/IDPA

Do you think there is significant difference in recoil between 125 and 137/139? If there is it is not significant from my experience. I load my lead bullets as close to the line as possible, around 134PF which is pretty light. Any lower and I run the risk of having a "to light load" and not meeting PF in a match.

Take Care

Yes I think there is a big difference in 125 and 135 from personal experience.

However, I was trying to point out that 9mm rules IDPA other than CDP. Perhaps thats what old Wilson was trying to create in the first place. 45acp good (Knockdown power) - 9mm ok (no knockdown but have capacity) - 40s&w (in between and does neither well) Crap!

"Knockdown power" is a myth. If a bullet had the capacity to 'knockdown' an assailant it would also 'knockdown' the person pulling the trigger. Are you familiar with Newton's third law of motion?

Just going with what I always get with the old school crowd. 45 is king - rest is a lesser cartridge type thing.

No I'm not familiar with Joe Newton. Please give detailed explanation.

Please keep it simple, I do work with my hands.

A link? I feel let down.

Not going to read that. Would feel like homework when I took that crap getting my engineering diploma.

Funny all this from a guess at someone else's vision for a league not available locally.
