Ammo for my XD-9?

Please dont bash me if this has been covered before, the search function doesnt work well for ammo(too common) or XD(too short).

I just got myself a new XD-9 and I'd like to know from those of you who have one what kind of ammo it likes best, and also which brands to avoid. Any info is helpful.

Congrats on your XD 9. Very nice gun. The good thing about XD-9 is it eat every kind of different brand and type. Buy the cheapest one that you can buy and shoot a heck out of it. My buddy use Amercian eagle, cheap enough and very accurate.

Exactly. I have tried a bunch of different stuff through my xd-9. Nothing shoots different then any other so I buy the cheapest. The umc stuff is what I go for first, then american eagle. I bought 500 rounds of umc for $112 a few weeks ago. Other then buying from a member on the board I havent come across anything cheaper. Also some people say that ammo like win clean is cleaner but I have noticed no difference. Still have to clean your gun.

On a different note I grabed one of those orange paint site pens and changed my white dots to bright orange. Sure helps my eyes and anyone else that has shot my xd-9.
 
I've fed mine anything and it just chomps it down, be it lead reload, fmj, tc, or hollowpoint....they aint' fussy eaters.....now the 45 on the otherhand, it doesn't like SWC's at all, but will eat anything else....
 
where did you purchase?

where did you all purchase your xd9? and how long is the barrel length?can someone post a pic of one please.
