this could prolly be posted in the ammo thead but here it goes im looking at buying some winchester "usa" ammo for my 9 mm M&P 9mm and its comes in 115 grain, 124 grain and 147 grain which ammo will work best for 50 yards or less target pratise?? btw its FMJ ammo

thanks.

I've had most success with 124 gr and 147 gr flavours, but I don't shoot much factory ammo.

And, btw, if you can get your M&P to shoot accurately at 50 yd, let me know what ammo you're using. :p

Because I'm sick to death of the text generation. Capitals, punctuation, and a passing attempt at spelling and grammar are not optional if you want to be understood.

This forum exists for the most part to share and seek information about the sport, but we also are the showcase for the public and need to be seen in a good light. We're not going to get there by tolerating the barely literate.

50 metres hey? Well I haven't fire mine at more than 25 metres, but I find that 124gr + large grip pad works the best for me. Mind you that's Combatmasters ammo.

And also questioning my punctuation?":

I wonder how the general public thinks about a gun owner flipping out about something as small as grammar??

I found that the 124gr. winclean is pretty accurate(and clean). I shoot a lot of the 'el cheapo Blazer 115gr. as well and it seems fairly accurate as well;however, maybe a tad bit less (but cheaper!) I still have to try the 147gr. in anything as I tend to go with what's in stock and on for a good price. My M&P shoots it all with no worries so far.

I'm with Canuck223. I just don't bother to reply to those who seem to not have the time to bother with even the most minimal attempt at capitalization and punctuation. If they don't have the time nor expend the effort to type legibly, why should I spend the time to decipher it, let alone respond? It is simpler just to ignore it and carry on to the next thread.

50 M is a heck of a long way with a service pistol in 9mm. That said, I think you'll find each gun has it's own preference at that kind of distance and the only way to find out what works is to try them all. These firearms are designed as defensive devices, 50 M is a bit of a crap shoot, as it is beyond the design envelope. If you're looking for a 50 M pistol you should be looking at the Sig P210 or X5 or a Performance Centre PPC 9 -(bring cash). This is the reason that PPC Duty Pistol matches are only shot to 25 M.

He's not flipping out, and he's absolutely correct. If English is your native tongue, use it correctly!

The public can view this site, and a large number of the posts make our community appear to be illiterate, inbred hicks.

Have any of you been on any other forums. They are all the same. I have seen improper spelling on every forum I have ever been on. I just really think it is no big deal. I am not writing a term paper, I am not being graded so I really don't sweat the small stuff.

If you would rather pick on someone instead of answering their question maybe you shouldn't chime in at all.

I do belong to and read other forums. A local auto forum, some motorcycle forums, and a couple of photography forums. You're right, the spelling and grammar on some posts is appalling, but you know what - I don't care what happens there.

They don't have guns, and people aren't lobbying to ban cars, motorcycles, or cameras.

They are not "all the same". I belong to about a dozen forums, most of the them either mil/LE/guns/shooting related, and all of them have a standard for contributing. The language used is English and the presentation is in full sentences (or point form where appropriate) and the spelling is complete with the exception of established abbreviations. Contributors adhere to that standard or are asked to not contribute - simple really.

You may not think that it matters, however if you wish to be taken seriously and treated as an adult perhaps you should re-evaluate how you view both yourself and your style of contributing to this forum (as well as how you process feedback)...:slap:

See - wasn't that easy to read and understand???
